Drop
When your pup has something in their mouth, give them a treat in exchange for the item. Say “Drop” as they open their mouth to release the item, then give them the treat. If you are practising this with a toy, return the toy after you have taken it. With practice, they will open their mouth in response to the “Drop” cue and then you can give them the treat after they have released the item.
