This page explains how refunds and cancellations work at Forests and Fetch Ltd, in plain English. The binding agreement is the Booking Waiver, which you accept when you pay for services — if anything here is unclear, the waiver is the definitive version.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
Your 14-day right to change your mind
Because you book and pay online, you normally have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Two standard exceptions apply:
- If you ask us to start sooner. If your session or class takes place inside the 14-day window and you have asked us to go ahead, you can still cancel, but we may charge a proportionate amount for what has already been provided.
- Online courses and membership. Once you have accessed the material or the community, the 14-day right no longer applies, because the content has been supplied.
To cancel, email anna@forestsandfetch.com. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, to the payment method you used.
One-to-one sessions and workshops
Your session is time reserved specifically for you and your dog.
- At least 72 hours’ notice — we will reschedule your session or refund you in full.
- Less than 72 hours’ notice — we are unlikely to be able to offer that time to anyone else, so a refund or free reschedule cannot be given.
- If we need to cancel — you will always be offered an alternative time or a full refund.
Session packages
If you have bought a package of sessions and want to cancel the remainder, we refund the cost of the package less £80 for each session already held, and less a 12% processing fee.
Unused sessions from a package expire six months after purchase.
Group classes
Classes are booked and paid for as a course, and your place is held for the full block.
Credits for missed classes are given in three situations only:
- A prearranged holiday, where you tell your class trainer at the point of booking.
- Bitches in season.
- Dogs with a contagious disease.
Outside these situations we are not able to credit or refund individual sessions you miss.
Adverse weather
If the weather makes a session unsafe or impractical, we move it to an online video call rather than cancelling it.
Online courses and membership
Online courses and membership of Dr Muir’s Canine Community are digitally delivered products. Once you have accessed them they are non-refundable, unless you bought through an offer that carries its own stated refund window.
You can cancel or change your access at any time — just contact us. Your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
Illness and vaccinations
Please do not bring your dog to a session or class if they have kennel cough or any contagious illness — tell us instead and we will sort out an alternative. Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations to attend classes.
If something has gone wrong
If you are unhappy with any part of the support you have received, please tell me. Email anna@forestsandfetch.com and I will work with you to put it right.
